International breaks can be a stressful time for Madridistas, but it’s always great to see our boys get some minutes and, more importantly, come away with a win.

France took down Colombia 3-1 in a friendly match hosted in the United States, with two of Real Madrid’s very own taking to the pitch in the second half to help see out the victory.

How Our Madridistas Fared

Manager Didier Deschamps opted to rotate his squad, bringing our stars on fresh after the break:

  • Eduardo Camavinga: Entered the midfield in the 64th minute, adding his usual energy and control to help lock down the center of the park.
  • Kylian Mbappé: Joined the action in the 78th minute to keep the Colombian defense on their toes in the closing stages.
  • Aurélien Tchouameni: Did not participate in this match. A welcome rest for our midfield anchor ahead of our upcoming fixtures!

Match Recap

France dominated early on, with Doué opening the scoring in the 29th minute. Just four minutes before the halftime whistle, Thurman doubled the lead. After the break, Doué found the back of the net again (56’) to secure an impressive brace. Colombia managed to pull one back through Jaminton Campaz, sealing the final scoreline at 1-3.

Most importantly, Mbappé and Camavinga got valuable minutes and look set to return to the Bernabéu fully fit. ¡Hala Madrid!
