Olympique Lyon’s January move for Endrick is already paying off in a big way.

The Brazilian forward, who had found minutes hard to come by at Real Madrid, has hit the ground running in France and quickly become one of Lyon’s standout performers.

Endrick

Endrick opened his Lyon account with a goal against LOSC Lille in the Coupe de France, helping the club progress in the competition. He followed that up with an assist in a 2-1 win over Stade Brest, before producing his best performance yet — a hat-trick in a thrilling 5-2 victory over Metz.

With four goals and one assist in three appearances, Endrick’s form has naturally sparked fresh questions about what comes next.

Real Madrid’s stance is clear

According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Real Madrid have no intention of letting Endrick go permanently. The club reportedly view him as part of their long-term project and are not considering an outright exit.

Romano adds that Madrid have been encouraged by Endrick’s progress since the loan move, and the situation at the club has also shifted following changes on the bench — a factor that could further strengthen his position in the squad next season.

Lyon are believed to be interested in extending the loan, but for now, the message from Madrid is firm: Endrick remains in their plans.

As things stand, the expectation is that the teenager will return to the Santiago Bernabéu at the end of the season and begin the next campaign aiming to play a more important role in Real Madrid’s attacking unit.
