La Fabrica has done it again. Last night, the footballing world watched as Víctor Muñoz made a dream debut for the Spanish national team, coming off the bench to net the third goal in a clinical 3-0 demolition of Serbia.
For Madridistas, the pride comes with a very familiar tactical advantage in the transfer market. While Muñoz is currently “tearing it up” at Osasuna, Real Madrid have ensured they hold all the cards regarding his future.
The “Nico Paz” Blueprint: The Buy-Back Details
According to reports from MARCA, Real Madrid’s agreement with Osasuna is a mirror image of the deal that sent Nico Paz to Como. Florentino Pérez and the board have structured a multi-year safety net that protects the club’s interests as Muñoz’s market value explodes.
- 2026 Buy-Back: €8 Million
- 2027 Buy-Back: €9 Million
- 2028 Buy-Back: €10 Million
- Sell-on Clause: Real Madrid retain 50% of the economic rights.
If a club like Barcelona (who are reportedly sniffing around) or a Premier League giant wants to trigger his €40 million release clause, Real Madrid would pocket a cool €20 million without moving a finger.
Why Muñoz is the “Man of the Moment”
Muñoz isn’t just a “one-game wonder” for La Roja. His season at El Sadar has been nothing short of transformative. Capable of playing across the entire front three, his explosive speed and “La Fabrica” technical finishing have made him one of La Liga’s most dangerous wingers this season.
Muñoz’s 2025/26 Campaign at a Glance:
- La Liga Goals: 5
- Assists: 2
- National Team: 1 Goal in 1 Cap (Debut vs Serbia)
- Market Value: Estimated at €25M–€30M (and rising fast)
“Real Madrid is a classy club. If they bring him back, it will be to rely on him for the first team; it’s not about a maneuver to resell him.” — Braulio Vázquez, Osasuna Sporting Director.
The RMxtra Verdict: Return or Revenue?
While we’d all love to see another homegrown talent at the Bernabéu, the reality is the “overbooking” in our attack. With Vinícius Jr, Mbappé, Rodrygo, and Endrick, Muñoz might find minutes hard to come by.
However, having the option to sign a full Spanish international for just €8 million is an absolute steal. Even if he doesn’t return to wear the white shirt, the 50% sell-on fee ensures that Muñoz’s success will directly fund Madrid’s next “Galactico” move.
