However, Cestero has emerged as a profile of genuine interest, with the Fulham manager understood to be monitoring the Spaniard ahead of either the January window or next summer’s market.
The connection between the two is well established. Arbeloa spent several years working within Real Madrid’s youth setup before landing the Fulham job, and he managed Cestero directly during his time in charge at Valdebebas.
