Real Madrid’s clash with Sevilla at the Santiago Bernabéu produced an awkward moment involving Vinícius Jr., as sections of the crowd reacted negatively when the winger was substituted late in the match.
Vinícius showed visible frustration while leaving the pitch, which only heightened the tension inside the stadium.
Despite the noise from the stands, the mood within the squad remains very different. Vinícius continues to be backed strongly by teammates, and Eduardo Camavinga is among those closest to him.
After the game, a short on-field clip circulating online led to speculation that Camavinga had been speaking angrily at Vinícius during a difficult defensive phase. In the same sequence, Jude Bellingham appeared to step in to calm the situation as Madrid tried to steady themselves.
That interpretation was rejected by those close to the dressing room, who insisted the moment was taken out of context and did not reflect any internal criticism of Vinícius.
Camavinga then addressed the rumours directly with a public message, making it clear the exchange was not aimed at Vinícius and urging people to stop targeting him.
The incident arrives during a period of increased scrutiny for Vinícius. Still, Camavinga’s response reinforces a key point: while the Bernabéu can be demanding, the dressing room remains firmly behind one of Madrid’s most important players.
Camavinga moved quickly to defend Vinícius after whistles at the Bernabéu and speculation about a heated exchange during the Sevilla match, insisting the moment was misunderstood and backing his teammate publicly.
